WOMEN are being invited to a driving event that will help them stay safe behind the wheel and also give them a confidence boost.

Car dealership Roy Chapman Ford is hosting the free event in partnership with the Tring and Berkhamsted Safer Neighbourhood Teams on Thursday, August 9, between 7pm and 9pm.

PCSO Emma Lennox will share safety tips on preparing for a safe journey, driving skills, personal safety, driving on motorways, what to do in the event of a breakdown and winter driving.

Technicians from Roy Chapman Ford will be giving a practical workshop demonstration about basic car maintenance and there will be the opportunity to win a free car service.

PCSO Lennox said: “This promises to be a really useful event which will provide women with a whole host of knowledge and skills to ensure they are safe when out and about on the roads. I’d encourage people to book a place – it’ll be very informal and a fun evening!”

Roy Chapman Ford director Jeremy Chapman said: “Our Ladies Evening is free to anyone who wishes to learn more about looking after their car between services and to increase their knowledge of staying safe on the roads.”
