Harry Potter technology MD takes to the skies
A hydraulics expert who helped make Harry Potter fly raised £3,500 when he took to the sky himself.
Hopespare's managing director Peter Willson took on a charity dive to raise the cash for a children's hospice.
The Hemel Hempstead company, based at Cleveland Way, provided the technology to make the young wizard's broomstick fly in the hit Harry Potter films.
Mr Willson took the dive on September 21 at an airfield in Hinton and will donate the money raised to Luton based children's hospice Keech
Cottage, which cares for children with life-limiting illnesses and their families from across Beds and Herts.
He said: "Luckily, I'm not scared of heights, so I was perfectly happy to jump out of the plane strapped to my instructor.
"It was an exhilarating experience; one I'd recommend to anyone.
"I'm thrilled to have raised so much money for such a worthwhile cause."
