Carnival back for good

THE organisers behind a revived carnival have said that it is here to stay and will one day rival the town’s biggest events for popularity.

Saturday, June 30 has been set for the second Tring Carnival parade following the success of last year when it was held after 17 years’ absence from the town’s events calendar.

Organisers Tring Together are working on developing the four day event to be as big as the town’s Christmas Festival, which attracts about 10,000 people.

The carnival in Pound Meadow will include a parade through the high street, family entertainment, a variety of stalls and bands playing at the site from June 28 to July 2.

Anyone interested in taking part in the carnival parade can email info@tringtogether.org.uk
