IT’S not too late to see whether your company could benefit from bidding for a contract at next year’s London Olympic and Paralympic Games.
That’s the message from the Hertfordshire is Ready for Winners partnership which is organising a Win Business Gold breakfast on September 9.
Delegates at the breakfast at Cheshunt Marriott Hotel will be able to enjoy a cooked breakfast, hear about contract opportunities, meet a Paralympic medallist and local young talented athletes and network with other local business people.
This ‘Win Business Gold’ event aims, with the help of experts from Deloitte, to encourage businesses in and around the venue to be prepared for this period next summer, to plan accordingly and to make the most of the opportunity.
Derrick Ashley, Chairman of the Hertfordshire is Ready for Winners Board, said: “Our county has maintained the accolade of the highest percentage of businesses registered on CompeteFor in the region, we are proud of this and want to keep up the level of engagement.”
Businesses can book a free space by visiting www.bookevents.org and search for ‘Win Business Gold’, or phone: 0845 601 1000.
l Businesses have been urged to think laterally to benefit from the Olympics.
Neil Mahoney, regional director for Lloyds TSB Commercial in London and East, said: “It is a big mistake to assume that if you’re not based in London and you’re not in a sector directly related to the event that you have nothing to prepare for.
“It is not too late to bid for remaining contract opportunities and with a bit of lateral thinking and planning, businesses can really benefit.”
