Tring-based Healthlogistics has just celebrated its tenth year in business, providing procurement services for NHS hospitals and healthcare organisations.

It’s quite an achievement to keep a business going for longer than about three years, so no wonder a Tring firm is keen to shout about its 10th anniversary.

Healthlogistics, which is based in Akeman Street, provides automated ordering and invoicing service and management information so NHS hospital trusts around the country and other healthcare organisations can purchase more effectively.

Initially started by Peter Elwin and Mike Beckley as a company with a virtual office on the Oxford Business Park, Healthlogistics moved to its current location in Hertfordshire in 2009 with just a handful of people.

Mr Elwin said: “Basing ourselves in Tring means that as well as being close to good transport links, our team have access to this lovely market town and the surrounding countryside.”

Today there are 23 people working in the Tring office plus two in Cheshire and Essex.

Most of the team live within a 10 mile radius of the office and love the benefits of being located near to the High Street.
