A SEMINAR will be held to help companies prepare for the introduction of compulsory occupational pensions.

Herts Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the event on May 6 in Stevenage.

It will focus on the National Employment Savings Trust, the government-supported scheme that can help firms create their own pension schemes. It will also seek to answer the question what does it mean for me, for my business, and for my employees?

Legislation has already been passed meaning that companies will have to start offering occupational pension schemes from October 2012.

The seminar will be run by Tony Morris, principal of Marquis Wealth Management of Welwyn Garden City.

Chamber members will be charged £15 per person and £20 for non members.
