Burgled goods found in grounds of Berkhamsted School, police suspect
POLICE found Nintendo Wii games and speakers in the grounds of Berkhamsted School which are believed to have been snatched during a home burglary.
Sgt Pete Huffer said a Wii console and stereo were also taken during the theft at nearby Gravel Path, which occurred between Monday, June 11, and Sunday, June 17.
He said: “Police would like to remind residents, as we enter into the holiday season, to please keep in touch with your neighbours and keep an eye on people’s premises if they are away at any time.
“Experience tells us that the majority of dwelling burglaries occur during the day time. If you see anything suspicious or people trying to get into your neighbour’s house, please phone 999.
“If you would like crime prevention advice, call 101 and ask for Berkhamsted’s Safer Neighbourhood Team.”
Berkhamsted School later said the loot was found under bushes behind the school’s all-weather astroturf pitch at its boundary with Greene Field Road.
Anyone with information about the Gravel Path break-in should contact police on 101 and quote reference D2/12/454.
