Two friends walked 100 miles to raise money for a baby girl whose heart beats 200 times per minute.
Nikki Wallman, 36, and pal Kara March set off from Sainsbury’s in Apsley on Friday, July 5 and arrived at the white cliffs of Dover less than 48 hours later.
Nikki, who works at The Mount prison in Bovingdon, said: “We set off at 6am on the Friday and reached Dover at 6pm on the Sunday - it was massively tough.”
The pair raised around £800 for 10-month-old Stella Forshaw, who requires constant treatment. The little one lives in Australia, but her parents - Colin and Claire - previously resided in Hemel Hempstead.
