Birthday bash for historic hall

A banquet is being held to celebrate the 150th anniversary of a historic town hall.

Berkhamsted town hall opened in 1860, to replace a Tudor Market House that burnt down in 1854, and is still a focal point of the town.

The Town Hall receives no public subsidy and makes its way in the commercial world as a versatile venue for weddings, parties, meetings, dinners and many other events in the life of the town.
