‘Bigger than ever’ Berkhamsted fireworks

Organisers of a fireworks display say they have put more money into the event this year than ever before.

The show, which aims to celebrate all of Great Britain’s 2012 achievements, cost The Rotary Club of Berkhamsted Bulbourne £10,000 – compared to £6,500 last year.

Organiser Jim Gregory said: “We want everybody to wave their flags and raise the roof off Berkhamsted.”

The event at Berkhamsted Cricket Club begins at 6.45pm on Saturday, November 3, but gates open at 5pm for other events including a tea cup ride and bucking bronco.

The fireworks will go off to sounds representing the year’s defining moments, like the Olympic Games and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

Tickets are £6 per adult and £4 per child.
