Berkhamsted Writing Competion winners 09
A former pharmacist walked away with the top prize in Berkhamsted's answer to the Booker Prize.
Mother-of-three Rebecca Russell, of Berkhamsted, was awarded a bursary for a creative writing course at Kingston University last night at Waterstone's, High Street.
Mrs Russell, along with all of the winners below, won book Waterstone's vouchers and a copy of the Writers' & Artists' Yearbook.
Author of The Junior Officers' Reading Club, Patrick Hennessey, presented the prizes.
