Berkhamsted pub denied ‘Olympic’ quiz

A LANDLORD blasted the rules that banned him from using the word ‘Olympics’ during his pub quiz.

The word is owned by the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG), which means it is illegal for firms who are not sponsoring the Games to use it to promote themselves.

But Nigel Granger, who runs The Rising Sun in Berkhamsted, said his event, held on Thursday, aimed to promote the Games.

He said: “It’s mad.
