Landlord reassures drivers

A pub landlord has reassured people they will not be clamped - if they do not abuse the carpark.

Karl McIntyre, landlord of the Grand Junction Arms on Bulbourne Road, Tring, spoke out about the clamping policy after a dispute with van driver Michael Neal.

Mr Neal claimed he walked his dogs for 15 minutes with the intention of going in the pub.

However, Mr McInytre disputed this after watching CCTV footage of the incident.

Mr McIntyre - manager since January - said he is trying to turn the pub around and walkers abusing the carpark are causing problems.

"I genuinely felt bad for the guy and bought him a pint," he said.

The landlord explained people can use the pub and go for walks if they collect a permit from the bar.
