Fatal crash on A41
A man died after crashing into a bridge on the A41 last night.
The emergency services worked for four hours after a red Peugeot 407 hit the bridge by the Bourne End junction of the bypass at 11.30pm.
The driver, a man in his 50s from Shropshire, died at the scene and his family has been informed of his death.
He had been travelling towards Watford and had just passed the Bourne End service station.
Fire fighters used cutting equipment to free him.
The cause of the collision is not yet know and police are investigating.
