FUNDRAISERS made more than £1,100 from a night of food and drink at a plush town centre bar.

Their three-course meal at The Gatsby in Berkhamsted High Street was staged to raise money for Iain Rennie Grove House Hospice and the Nepali Children’s Trust.

The event earlier in May was organised by members of nearby St Peter’s Church, who pick two charities to fundraise for each year.

The culmination of their fundraising activities is the Petertide Fair, which will this year be held at the church on Saturday, June 16.
