Berkhamsted Castle badger attack

Visitors found strips of grass missing from Berkhamsted Castle on Saturday.

John Waller, 69, from the town’s Cobb Road, said: “There must have been 150 square feet of grass gone. Who took it – was it little green men from outer space?”

English Heritage, which owns the site, believes badgers are to blame and said any damage done would be repaired.
