Beautiful day for health spa graduates
Graduates at an international college linked to a spa celebrated healthy results.
Champneys College of Health and Beauty in Wigginton near Tring had a 100 per cent practical pass rate for a second successive year.
College marketing co-ordinator Hilary Dawson said: "They work very, very hard. They have to. It is a three-year course condensed into 11 months so it is a very, very hard course."
Mrs Dawson said many of the students will go on to work abroad.
"They go onto cruise ships and local spas and a lot them go abroad," she said.
"There will be a resort in Marbella soon so quite a lot of them will go there.
"We have a variety of them going to work in Champneys resorts and to spas.
"The majority of the girls will be in work by the time they graduate."
Thirty students gathered in the grounds of Champneys to celebrate their
results with friends and family on Thursday (August 19).
The girls all graduated with national qualification Confederation of International Therapy and Cosmetology (CIBTAC) and Comit International D'Esthtique et de Cosmtologie (CIDESCO) - one of the highest qualifications in beauty therapy.
