It may not seem like it but spring is on its way and that means the latest Oxfam children’s wear event is lined up.

There will be clothes for the new season at bargain prices along with toys and games on offer at Berkhamsted’s Civic Centre on Friday, March 22 from 9am to 11.30am.

Event organiser Nicky Evans said: “In Lebanon spring will bring some relief to the thousands of families who have fled the conflict in Syria and endured one of the coldest winters on record.

“Oxfam has been providing warm blankets, mattresses, heating oils and stoves as well as money for rent for families unable to support themselves.

“Funds are desperately short so events like this are vitally important to needy families overseas, as well as helping families in this country whose budgets are under pressure.”
