A pet superstore in Hemel Hempstead is giving customers paws for thought with a charity fundraising campaign.

Pets at Home in London Road is raising money for Support Adoption for Pets, which works with animal rescue charities to rehome abandoned pets.

The campaign, which began on April 17, will see raffle tickets sold in store for the next four weeks.

Prizes include £1,000 worth of Thomson holiday vouchers, a television, an iPad mini, free pet food for a year, £300 of Marriott Hotel vouchers and much more.

Customers can also choose to take part in the ‘Round Up To A Pound’ initiative, where they can opt to round up the cost of their purchases to a £1, with the difference being donated to the appeal.

Store manager Gerry McDermott said: “Our customers are animal lovers, just like us, and share our passion for pets – so I know they will donate what they can to the cause.”
