Appeal against rejected housing

PLANS for flats that outraged town planners in Berkhamsted, and were refused by Dacorum Borough Council, have been sent to the Planning Inspectorate in a bid to have the decision changed.

The inspectorate is a government body that processes planning and enforcement appeals.

The proposals to build 12 flats at The Glebe in Chesham Road were put forward by Latimer Homes Ltd.

Town councillors said the plans, including 12 parking spaces, would increase traffic and cause a danger to pedestrians.
