All in memory of our Adam

A golf day and dinner held in memory of Adam Dealey, who passed away aged just 10 after losing his battle against cancer, has raised £16,624.
The event is organised every year by Adam’s mum and dad, John and Marian, of Boxmoor, Hemel Hempstead, to raise funds towards research into Ewing’s Sarcoma.
John said: “I don’t want to see people go through what we went through and are still going through. Even though it is 17 years down the track it is still very raw.”
The Friday event kicked off a busy weekend for the Adam Dealey Foundation and the Bone Cancer Research Trust.
On Sunday 250 runners for the trust, of which 22 were running in Adam’s memory, turned out for the Royal Parks Marathon.

Among them were Adam’s cousin Kate O’Reilly, from Sarratt; Adam’s pal Jack Thomson, of Aldbury; Lucie Monk, of Adeyfield, who was running in support of her cousin Caitlin, 10, who is in remission from bone cancer, and Pat Ball, who took on the feat for a Hemel Hempstead osteosarcoma cancer survivor, teenager James Wigg.
Bone Cancer Awareness Week runs until October 15. Visit www.adamdealey.org.uk and www.bonecancerresearch.org.uk
