A step closer for scout hut

editorial image

HUT: A village leader says an agreement is about to be drawn up allowing a new scout hut to be built.

After that, the 1st Potten End Scouts will put in an application to build the new base on the village’s Spencer Holland Recreation Ground.

Then they will probably have to raise more than £100,000 to build it, said Potten End Parish Council chairman Simon Barnard.

The council owns the recreation ground. The current hut in nearby Common Gardens is quite run down.
