FRIENDS of murder victim Billy Dove, right, laced up their trainers as they took part in last weekend’s St Albans Half Marathon in his honour.

A group of 40 people, including runners and walkers, took part in the event to raise money for Billy’s Wish – an anti knife crime charity set up by the Dove family in 21-year-old Billy’s name following his death.

Amongst the runners were Ben Oakley – who ran the half marathon wearing a mankini and tutu – and Callum Woods, one of Billy’s closest friends.

There are a number of other events set to take place this year to raise money for Billy’s Wish, including the Billy Dove Memorial Cup football match and fun day, details of which will be published shortly.
