Sheep shearing demonstrations that formed part of a series of sessions to reveal more about what goes on at the Box Moor Trust was a crowd pleaser.
And the two sheep that had kept their thick coats for longer than usual to be part of the showcase were stars of the show.
Joanna Shelton of the trust, who has been organising the drop-in sessions, said: “I think our sheep were rather glad to get rid of their wool.”
Each session – held on Thursdays throughout August – is based on a different theme with everything from local history to spinning wheels, and is also a chance for people to have a look around the trust’s new London Road headquarters. Next sessions being held tomorrow and August 29 from 2pm to 4pm will focus on wildlife. Visit www.boxmoortrust.org.uk
