NEARLY 200 youngsters, aged five to 11, flocked to a sports fun day on Saturday.

They met coaches and tried sports including baseball, martial arts, circus skills, free running and dancing.

The event, organised by Victoria School Association (VSA), was in Butts Meadow, off Kings Road, Berkhamsted.

VSA chairman Luisa Clarke said: “They all thought it was absolutely amazing and it was such a good opportunity for them to try out different sports. It was open to everybody making it even better.”

VSA organised the event with My Sports Contact, which encourages youngsters to take part in sport.

There was also a bouncy castle, a climbing wall and refreshment tent.
