A baker’s dozen of acts are waiting in the wings to cook up a charity music festival at the end of the month.

ReachOut Plus will reap the benefit of Lion Fest, which is scheduled for Saturday, August 31 at the Red Lion pub, Nash Mills.

Music starts at noon and organisers are promising a barrage of exciting activities, stalls and food.

ReachOut Plus operates in Herts and Beds and supports people – especially the young and those with disabilities – to overcome exclusion and discrimination, develop skills, broaden experience and achieve potential.

The charity is best known for its Enable and Waterways Experience projects, run from a canal base opposite the Red Lion. A team from Radio Dacorum will compère the festival and broadcast live from the venue throughout the day.

The charity’s Lewis Bridge said: “Lion Fest is definitely one for all ages. We wish to raise awareness of our charity within the local community, thank those who have helped us throughout the year and have a great time whilst enjoying the atmosphere of some fantastic live music.”
