Anyone with an interest in family history could be making a short trip across the county border to meet researchers from near and far at Buckinghamshire’s major annual family history event.
Family history societies from Herts and other counties, as well as Buckinghamshire’s archives, military and local history groups, and local museums, will all be involved.
Those having Buckinghamshire connections can obtain free help in tracking down elusive ancestors through a searchable database of Buckinghamshire names containing over five million entries.
Hosts Buckinghamshire Family History Society will also be providing a research area giving access to parish register transcripts and a wide range of reference material.
Visitors will have the opportunity to buy the latest family history related software, maps, books and more from a wide range of suppliers.
The event is on Saturday between 10am and 4pm at The Grange School, Wendover Way, Aylesbury, HP21 7NH. Entry is free, and there is free parking.
