What are your main aims and objectives?
The Swan Youth Centre offers young people aged 12-18 the opportunity to participate in positive activities in a safe, drug and alcohol free environment where they can access information to enable them to make informed choices.
Where do you meet and how often?
Swan Youth Centre, 137-139 High Street, Berkahmsted.
> After school drop-in: 3.30pm to 6pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
> Year 9 Tuesdays 6pm to 8pm.
> Youth Council meetings 4.30pm to 6pm Wednesdays once or twice per month.
> Swan Skater meetings 4 - 5pm Wednesdays once per month.
> Swan Activities planning group: 4pm to 5pm on Wednesdays once per month.
> Year 8’s drop-in: Thursdays 6pm to 8pm.
> Gig Nights: 7pm to 10.30pm once per month.
We also offer specialised nights offering one-off and short courses on such things as first-aid, self defence, drug awareness, anti-bullying, sexual health, art projects, video making, pool competitions etc.
Outreach work is delivered to make sure the needs of the hard-to-reach young people are met.
