Woman trapped after rush hour crash taken to hospital

A 21-year-old woman had to be cut free from her car after a crash on Leighton Buzzard Road on Friday morning.
The woman, who was driving a red Peugeot, was taken to Watford General Hospital with minor injuries after being cut free by firefighters.

Her car and a white Mercedes van collided just before 9am near to the Red Lion pub by Water End this morning.

The driver of the van, a man in his 40s, was unhurt.

The road was closed at the junction with Potten End Hill.

Police were also sent to the scene.
