Stylish Sunday drive will boost charity’s coffers

Waiting for Video...

The call has gone out for community-minded car fans who would like to join a caring convoy in the springtime sun.

The Spirit of Dacorum car tour will be hitting the road on Sunday, May 5, and supporters will be setting off from one of three start points for a morning behind the wheel, showing off their shiny steel stallions and enjoying the company of like-minded motorists.

It’s the third time the event has been run, and organisers hope that May’s tour – following on from a September get-together which was sponsored by Total UK and flagged off by Mayor of Dacorum Bert Chapman – will top the £3,000 that fundraiser added to the coffers of the Dacorum Community Trust.

Cars will be setting off from start points on Hemel Hempstead’s Maylands Avenue business park, Ashlyns Care Home in Berkhamsted and Pendley Manor Hotel in Tring, and after winding their way around the chosen route will all rendezvous back at Pendley Manor.

To find out more, contact Keith Foster for details and an application form for the Tour. You can email him at admin@dctrust.org.uk or call 01442 231396.

You can also download a registration form from the Future Events page of the Trust website

The Dacorum Community Trust is a charity dedicated to helping those most in need within the Dacorum area, by managing and distributing money it raises locally from individuals, companies and organisations.
