Helpers are needed for Olympic day

A HOLIDAY camp volunteer is needed to bring some fun to the lives of disadvantaged children.

Helpers with the Chicks Country Holidays For Inner City Kids will join in with a variety of activities from karaoke to swimming.

Camps run from March to December from Thursdays to Tuesdays.

Four female and four male helpers are needed for each weekly camp.

> An organised individual is required to lead and deliver a family fun day based around the Olympics and Paralympics.

The event will be held at Jarman Park in Hemel Hempstead on July 15 and will include sporting competition for all ages.

Local clubs and community groups will be invited to attend the event, which is being organised by Dacorum School Sports Network, to promote their group and try out activities.

The role of event manager will include managing a working group of volunteers, co-ordinating events and ensuring clubs are booked to attend.

> People to make up a working group to help organise the fun day are also needed.

A total of six volunteers are required. The numbers of hours they put in will vary from month to month and increase closer to the event date.

The group will be in charge of various aspects of the day including booking clubs and community groups, marketing and promoting the day and managing ticket sales.
