Eager beavers are welcome to answer scouts’ recruiting call

editorial image

Hemel Hempstead’s scout groups are on a recruiting drive for youngsters who are eager to know more about beavers.

The members of the youngest group in the scouting set-up are aged from six to eight, and can progress to cub packs and scout groups as they get older.

There are 13 scout groups in the Hemel Hempstead district, and leaflets are being distributed through schools in the area to flag up the opportunities.

Groups in Apsley, Bennetts End, Bovingdon, Boxmoor, Gadebridge, Grovehill, Kings Langley, Leverstock Green, Queensway, Warners End and Woodhall Farm are all on the lookout for new recruits. Throughout the year there are outings, activities and camps, and weekly meetings run on every weekday evening.

Free trial sessions are on offer to anyone who wants to find out more – call Russ Dyble on 07790 296378, email join@hemel-scouts.co.uk or visit www.scouts.org.uk/join
