Mary Josephine Young (Nee O'Connor) : Obituary

MARY JOSEPHINE YOUNG (nee O'Connor) 1921-2012 Mary was born in University College Hospital, London on 21st March 1921. She was educated at St Dominic’s Priory School in Kentish Town and attended church at St Dominic’s Priory. Mary volunteered for war service in 1940 and was a member of a Royal Artillery anti-aircraft battery defending London. Mary had a number of jobs in the manufacturing industry during her life. She was a devoted daughter and looked after her mother until her passing away in 1965. Mary married George and moved to Hemel Hempstead in the late 1960's. Due to ill health, Mary moved into Lime Tree Manor Care Home in the summer of 2010. Mary was always cheerful and happy, and had a wonderful sense of humour right up to her passing. She will be missed by her nieces and nephews.
