Work to rid Berkhamsted High Street of pot holes and damaged surfaces has been postponed.

Essential repairs on were meant to start today but the drop in temperature and wet weather has forced the work to be called off.

A new date has not been set and will depend on the weather.

Workmen were due to resurface from the A416 King Road to Boxwell Road and the worst areas between the A416 and Manor Street.

When a new date is set the job is expected to take five days to complete and to minimise disruption the repairs will be carried out over night.

For more information call Hertfordshire Highways on 0300 123 4047.
