A book shop is celebrating National Best Friends Day on Saturday to mark the release of a new children's book.
Angel Cake, the latest book by bestselling author Cathy Cassidy, aims to convey the importance and power of friendship.
Today Waterstone's, on Berkhamsted High Street, will be performing random acts of kindness to show the importance of friendship.
With support from Puffin, Mizz magazine and Candy Cakes, visitors should expect a variety of gifts and surprises.
Clare Randle, from the Berkhamsted book shop, said: "This is going to be so much fun. A new Cathy Cassidy book is always exciting and we're really looking forward to celebrating National Best Friends Day with our customers."
