Householders will be given the chance to slash their carbon footprint by joining eco-teams this weekend.

Dacorum Environmental Forum, with the help of Global Action, is holding a free event at Berkhamsted Civic Centre on Saturday between 9.30am and 3pm.

The aim of the day is to introduce people to the concept of eco-teams, which look at ways to improve energy, waste and water management in the home.

The teams meet over five months to discuss ideas such as insulating you home by, for example putting, tin foil behind radiators.

Over the months you keep track of the results of the changes to see how effective they are.

For more information call 01442 228739, email sustainability@dacorum.gov.uk or visit www.ecoteams.co.uk
