A choral society is singing for joy after being given a £1,675 grant by the BBC.
Berkhamsted Choral Society was one of 98 choirs to get a share of £200,000 from the BBC Performing Arts Fund in association with Making Music.
The money will be used to run a one day workshop to introduce a selection of Christmas carols by composer the Chris Williams later this year.
The grant fits in with the choir's new five–year strategy to modernise and revitalise itself.
The choir's next performance, Fauré Favourites, is on Saturday, February 27 at St Peter's Church, Berkhamsted.
